ALMOST all teachers there are informative and helpful towards student needs. After school activities could be inproved. Discipline and order is strictly enforced. Guidance councilors are not attentive and lack understanding of student needs. |

I am very happy with both my children attending Eastplain. I have recently moved into the district and have seen a tremendous improvment from their last school. I believe it is because of the care and time of my children's teachers.

A great place to send your kids, without a doubt. As a teacher, Massapequa is a district that is notorious for hiring based on "who you know". The teachers are very good, but it is tough if one is not one of the administration's "favorites". The administrators at BMS are not very effective at all. The Dean's office, by comparison, is exceptional. The staff is very hard working, dedicated to helping both student and teacher to solve problems.

This school is amazing. As a Fairfield alumni myself, I was proud to share this elementary experience with my own children. Massapequa does have a uniqueness about it where many who grew up here choose to raise their children here. There is a reason for that, the schools! Fairfield has a new principal and assistant which are doing a fine job. they are constantly visible in the school and at school events in the evenings. they are respected and liked by the children. It seems as though each grade has a balance of teachers as far as some being more easy going, some firm fair and consistent and some more strict. I feel the staff and administrators know which children will flourish with specific teachers. We have to allow our children to be exposed to all different styles of teaching because lets face it, in the real world we do not get to choose our boss. We need to be flexible and resilient. Fairfield gets the job done. I have enjoyed being able to participate in trips and school events even though I am a full-time working parent. You are involved as much as you want to be.

We just moved into the district and are very impressed with the school so far. My daughter loves her 4th grade teacher and we have found the faculty and Principal to be very helpful. The Principal interacts with both the children and parents and seems to be a person who is in touch with everything that goes on in the school. You couldn t ask for a better environment for your child to learn in!

Massapequa has always been known for it's excellent schools. I was born and raised in Mass. & my children are now in the schools. It is a great place to live and raise children. I do, however, agree that too much emphasis is placed on sports. Give more college scholarships to students that excel in academics or good character. Wouldn't you rather have them as doctors operating on you than these athletes? I sure would!

My family loves this school. I have 2 kids, one in 1st grade and one in 5th grade in Albany Ave. I know my son will truly miss this school when he graduates in June. The PTA is second to none. They really care about the kids and have many planned activities and resources available. The music program is the best. My son made the all district band and they had their concert at the High School last week. We were all blown away with how good the elementary school kids were! Most of them have only been playing for 2 years and we couldn't believe how well they played! The band teacher is the best and a lot of the kids give up their recess time to practice their instruments in her room at lunch time.
