My two oldest children have graduated from St. James and my other three are still attending. I am very satisfied with the academics that are taught at the school. The teachers, from grades pre-k - 8th, all put their heart and soul into their teaching. They care so much about every student learning. They are very open and approachable from the parent or the student. The faculty also volunteers to plan and run after-school events during the year. I also cannot say enough about the Christian values that are taught to the children. As in any school, there are conflicts that arise between the students, but there is always a faculty member available to help out. The priests also teach Religion lessons and have been available when my children needed to speak to them. I would recommend St. James to anyone and believe it is a top notch school.

I think Carmel High is a great school. At first I thoiught I would send my son to Kennedy High School, then I went to the open house at Carmel. I was suprised what a large number of students get accepted to a university or a well-known college. I am glad I sent my son to Carmel. The acedemic programs are very well, especially the regents, honers, and AP courses. The parent involement is very high also. If I have a question about a class I just call the teacher and ask away. If my son wass't doing so well in a class, the teacher would call me and set up some extra-help classes to bring my sons grades up. I encourage parents to send their kids to Carmel despite what rumors they hear. From personal experience, I think Carmel High is one of the best educational choices for my son.

My son is in the first grade but I can say that I am very happy so far,he had a very good teacher in the Kindergarden(Mrs.Douglas)and very good teacher he has now (Mrs.Patterson)My son is still taking about teacher from last year.He can wait until it's Monday so he can see his teacher, she knows how to talk to them and most important is that she knows how to make them to listen to her.I know is still early to say that but teacher is the biggest impact on your kids.I hope this will not change in future.I have a very good feeling about this school.Very nice staff.
