I do not agree totally with the last entry. My daughter is a current student at this school. She is academically advance for her grade level, and does not seem to be having any ill effects because of it. They may not always challenge her. We supplement her education on the outside. Instead, they provide a nuturing, loving environment for her socially. There are various activities throughout the year for students, staff and parents alike. The principle has an open door policy, and the students love her. In fact, one day I spied her tying the shoes of a pre-k student when asked by the student. You can not always get everything you want in a school. However, if you are looking for a school where your child can be well rounded; Immaculate Conception School in Jamaica Estates, is the place for you.

THIS SCHOOL IS AMAZING! I transferred into St. Nick's 6th grade, and I was the quiet, shy new kid. My teacher was amazingly nice to me, and helped with my transition into SNT. All of the teachers are so nice and caring, and they're always there to help the students. I was on two sports teams and the coaches were amazingly good and also very caring. Also, all of the students are SO nice and friendly! From being the shy new kid, thanks to SNT I became friendly and extroverted. If it wasn't for this school I don't think i would be where I am now. From my experience I would say that this school is the most amazing private school ever. The only problem is that the gym is terrible. The paint is peeling off the walls, and pieces of the ceiling randomly fall. The gym NEEDS to be redone. Other than that, SNT is amazing!

She has blossom to be a confident, beautiful person who always has a smile for anyone, with an attitude that whatever life throws her way, she will overcome. it is an excellent school. very good teachers math and ela studies! i think it is one the best school in 11432 or district 29! my name is gurpreet kaur i used to go to this school and get straight A`s ! i request every parent to put their children in P.S 131Q! (A.K.A- i went to this school five years ago!)

The best thing about Thomas Edison is the selection of shop classes. These classes give kids hands on work related to the field of work they are interested in pursuing. Many times kids question the relevancy of the work they do in other classes to their future. However everyone acknowledges the importance of their shop class, and the experience it gives us for real world application.

Terrific!!! My child was failing a couple of classes before attending the school. But because of the small classes my child was able to get the right attention to pass. The teachers are always willing to help and the principle is a strong individual that cares for the students

I have been a student in Al-Mamoor School since it first started on September 2003. I must say it is a wonderful school with teachers always looking out for the students and making sure they understand each lesson properly. They also have a wonderful Islamic enviroment teaching Islam in great detail but making it fun and easy. In this way the students will be able to enjoy the Islamic lesson as to be able to put it to great use in the future Inshallah.

Why would people think that Hillcrest is a bad school ? I am attending that school and my parents are very happy with it. It has a pleasant atmosphere where the teachers encourage and help you to learn and better understand something. And i can tell you this from experience. It is not in a bad area nor is it a bad school. Whoever thinks its a bad school needs to tell me what is so bad about it.

This is a wonderful school for young children. It is the dedicated teachers I have met that really make this school so terrific!

This school is structured, nurturing, supportive, academically demanding/enriching, and the children for whom it is the right fit all LOVE it and thrive. As with all schools for special children, there is no "one size fits all" but Summit does a wonderful job reaching children like mine who is very creative, very bright and plagued by a reading disability and Aspergers. The school effectively engages the children and teaches them to make a contribution to the world around them.

The best thing about this school is the college bound program. The college counselor is young, professional and is up to date with her information. It's great that the younger students have the opportunity to visit colleges. My daughter has benefited greatly from attending college trips.
